Several thousand MIPS members have taken advantage of the membership benefit of a free MIPS risk management education workshop. Attending a risk workshop will assist you in reducing adverse outcomes over time – and you can earn significant CPD points!
Schedule
The next round of workshops will be held in Spring. If you need to satisfy any Premium Support Scheme (PSS) requirements, you can do so by completing one of our online modules. These modules also attract CPD points.
CPD points
A summary of the CPD allocations can be downloaded here. All participants who complete a proof of attendance at the workshop will receive a certificate detailing the duration of the event and CPD accreditation where appropriate.
Premium Support Scheme recipients
To retain your Premium Support Scheme (PSS) subsidy, Medicare Australia requires that you complete a MIPS approved risk management activity within the current policy year. You can fulfill this requirement by attending one risk workshop by 30 June, or by completing an online module.
Workshop topics
These workshops are suitable for members wishing to cover issues such as appropriate communications with patients and colleagues, effective management of adverse outcomes and practical risk education on contemporary issues to all health practitioners.
