MIPS is a “Doctors for Doctors” organisation formed to support and protect the character and interests of its members and promote honourable and discourage irregular practice.

MIPS provides its members with a range of benefits including medico-legal and risk management advice; assistance and protection for matters related to professional activities and medical indemnity insurance through its subsidiary MIPS Insurance Pty Ltd.

With doctors involved in MIPS Governance and Management and the front-line delivery of medico-legal and risk management advice to members, MIPS prides itself on its personalised service.

Medical Indemnity Protection Society Ltd (MIPS) is an Australian Financial Services Licensee (AFS Lic. 301912). MIPS Insurance Pty Ltd (MIPS Insurance) is a wholly owned subsidiary of MIPS and holds an authority issued by APRA to conduct general insurance business and is an Australian Financial Services Licensee (AFS Lic. 247301). MIPS arranges general insurance covers for MIPS members, including the MIPS Insurance medical indemnity policy underwritten by MIPS Insurance.
