MIPS provides its members with access to financial services that meet their primary needs for comprehensive, high quality and cost effective medical indemnity insurance and other risk products.

MIPS Pty Ltd was established in 1988 to provide indemnity to medical practitioners. Since then, the not-for-profit and fully-funded enitity has expanded to envelop other medical defence organisations, whose experience in the medico-legal field span more than 100 years in Australia.

MIPS, through its wholly owned subsidiary MIPS Insurance, offers protection to doctors and dentists alike, and provides one of the most comprehensive support networks for those experiencing legal difficulties.

As a defence organisation with doctors involved at every level of management, MIPS prides itself on its personalised service from fellow practitioners, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
