At MIPS we have a suite of risk management activities for all our members.
Choices include risk management workshops, webinars, online modules, vodcast risk management essentials series, hospital employed risk seminars and student risk seminars. These events are offered at no charge for current members and most attract CPD points.
workshops
These workshops have been developed with the specific needs of our members in mind. Presented by MIPS and/or specialist risk management consultants, the aim of MIPS workshops is to help members develop skills in identifying risks and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
webinars
For the added convenience of our members especially those in rural or remote areas of Australia, MIPS will provide a series of webinars throughout the year. Topics range from issues facing our International Medical Graduates to Risk Management for all our dental members. All MIPS members will have access to these interesting and interactive professional education opportunities whether at your practice or at home.
online modules
These modules provide a convenient alternative for members who are unable to attend risk management workshops due to location, time commitments or other circumstances. From the comfort of home or office, members can participate in risk management activities whilst also gaining accreditation for CPD (for RACGP members only) and/or PSS.
hospital employed and student seminars
MIPS is actively involved in risk management activities at hospital campuses and universities. Along with offering tailored seminars to suit you, experienced MIPS clinicians present a range of topics, including

These are a condensed version of our Risk Management Essentials online modules. These short video files can be viewed online. They provide a succinct and ongoing resource for some of the most important risk management aspects for all health professionals.
