Workshops and webinars

Continuing professional development (CPD) is a mandatory requirement for registered healthcare practitioners so we've developed our risk education presentations with the specific needs of our members in mind. Presented by healthcare practitioners with clinico-legal experience, the aim of these is to help members develop skills in identifying risks and changing the way they practice to avoid complaints.

Spring and Autumn Risk Education Programs

MIPS provides two annual programs, each over two month periods. One in Spring and One in Autumn. Schedules include activities across Australia including CPR, workshops and webinars. Most of the education is relevant for all MIPS members - some are dental or medical specific. MIPS' workshops, webinars and online units are all accredited education.

Current workshops/webinars

Past webinars are also available for members to view online. Earn CPD quickly and from the comfort of your home or office with our engaging webinars.

Universities and education providers

Healthcare students need the protection that MIPS membership affords, but they also need to be aware of the risks associated with practising healthcare. Recent graduates face a high risk of complaints and investigation, which is why quality accredited risk education is essential before students graduate.

Each year MIPS provides risk education free of charge to many of the medical, dental and oral health students enrolled around Australia. If you are part of a student society with medical, dental or oral health student members, then MIPS would be happy to arrange a risk education presentation to your student body at no cost.
