The risks identified and discussed do apply to all member and all craft groups . The risk of complaint, claim and or investigation is a high one for all members. Other important contemporary issues to be covered include prescribing , appropriate work life balance , social media interactions including online reviews, and the emerging issue of Medicare/PSR .
A number of case studies are provided together with relevant case law. A variety of risk avoidance and minimisation strategies are provided. The workshop will be facilitated by a MIPS adviser and practising medical practitioner.
Members are required to meet College Standards, AHPRA codes of conduct and the law. claims, complaints or investigations can attract the media and damage reputations. There will be consequences should inappropriate conduct be confirmed.
