Hygienists, therapists, prosthetists and technicians
Oral health practitioners such as dental hygienists, therapists and prosthetists in Australia are required to have appropriate indemnity cover in place to meet Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration.
MIPS membership benefits include insurance cover that more than satisfies AHPRA's indemnity requirements. Oral health practitioners are provided the same level of membership and insurance covers as all MIPS members.
You can also elect a membership basis of private practice or wholly employer indemnified depending on your employment arrangements.
You may apply for the new graduate category anytime in your final year of study. For new graduates membership is provided free up until the next 30 June. Apply for membership online.
