Clinico-legal support (24/7 helpline)
MIPS members are provided timely, knowledgeable, professional and confidential support from experienced and sympathetic colleagues on clinico-legal matters – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Risk education
MIPS takes an active role in helping members beter manage their day-to-day working life, to help avoid adverse outcomes to patients or, in the event they occur, to help mitigate these outcomes. A broad range of risk management publications, workshops and online training modules are provided to members at no additional cost.
Other insurance covers provided
MIPS Members' Practice Entity Policy provides cover for healthcare errors made by prescribed practice staff. This membership benefit is provided at no additonal cost and available to members in private practice membership categories.**
MIPS Members' Group Personal Accident Policy provides financial assistance to non-student members (and/or their families) as a result of accidental bodily injury, death or upon loss of AHPRA registration due to defined events. Other benefits include travel insurance for members providing MIPS approved gratuitous health services in 3rd world countries.**
