Transitioning from medical or dental school into professional practice brings exciting opportunities and unique challenges. The Career Leadership Program offers junior practitioners a structured pathway to develop essential leadership skills through three interactive online workshops led by Dr Brett Factor.

Designed specifically for early-career medical and dental professionals, this program focuses on practical leadership fundamentals: self-awareness, communication, managing challenging situations, and building influence within clinical teams.

Program Structure

Dr Brett Factor will deliver three engaging one-hour online workshops, in a webinar format with interactive group work.

  1. The Practice of Leadership: Presence, Purpose, and Communication 
    Explore how self-awareness and interpersonal behaviors shape leadership in clinical settings.
  2. The Practice of Team Leadership: Collaborative Leadership in Medicine 
    Learn to lead teams collaboratively through shared decision-making and navigate interpersonal conflict effectively. 
  3. The Practice of System Leadership: Shaping Culture and Conditions for Good Clinical Work
    Understand how doctors lead beyond individual interactions, shaping culture, and decision-making environments that enable teams to perform well over time.
