I am indemnified by my employer – do I still need insurance?

Professional indemnity insurance is mandatory for all healthcare practitioners practicing in Australia. Even if you’re covered by your employer, as is common in a public hospital setting, instances can arise in which your employer is unable to cover or assist you. That’s when you can contact MIPS for advice and support.
