MIPS supports both dental and medical students in their quest for adventure and assists them in completing their overseas elective placements by providing free electives cover. Year after year, MIPS provides indemnity insurance coverage to students on medical and dental electives around the world. Students travel to all corners of the globe and we wanted to share some of their favourite elective destinations with you. Indemnity cover for electives is automatic as part of your student membership but you must apply for travel cover separately (travel cover is only available for international trips).

If you love warmer climes, beautiful beaches and scuba diving, then you will love Iloilo. Not only are the people very friendly, but you will experience some unique treatment cases in hospitals. Some offer a great two-week program in anaesthesiology where students can aid in spinal tap procedures.
